The Hobart CL44 is a rack conveyor dishwasher built for commercial kitchens that need automated, high-temperature sanitizing warewashing without staff constantly loading and unloading individual racks by hand. Dish racks move through the machine on a conveyor while it automatically washes, rinses, and sanitizes glassware, dishes, flatware, and trays in a continuous cycle.

This configuration includes a built-in booster heater (BAS), which raises the final rinse water to the sanitizing temperature required by health codes even in kitchens where the building's water heater can't supply it on its own, removing the need for a separate external booster unit and simplifying installation.

This model uses a single-tank design suited to moderate-volume dish rooms.

Constructed of stainless steel throughout for durability and easy cleanup, the unit is built for the demands of continuous commercial use, and this configuration ships with a Buildup Kit containing the components needed to align the machine height and connections with adjoining dishtables during installation.

Hobart is one of the most widely used names in commercial warewashing equipment, and its CL Series conveyor dishwashers are a common choice in restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and institutional foodservice operations.

    Key Features

    • Pumped rinse system operates without a pressure gauge, simplifying installation and eliminating a common failure point
    • Low water usage at just 58 gallons per hour reduces utility costs and supports institutional sustainability goals
    • Digital controls with built-in machine diagnostics simplify daily operation and speed service response when issues arise
    • Low temperature alert notifies operators immediately if wash or rinse temperatures drop below food-safe thresholds
    • Hinged insulated cabinet-style doors retain heat, reduce steam escape, and simplify daily access for cleaning and maintenance
    • Large 31" access opening on prewash, power wash, and power rinse chambers plus 20" access on dual rinse and auxiliary sanitizing rinse (ASR) chambers speeds cleaning and service
    • Start and stop switches at both ends of the machine keep operators in control from either the load or unload station
    • Doors open indicator alerts staff when a chamber door is not properly closed — preventing steam release and wasted energy
    • Drains open indicator confirms drain status before starting a cycle to prevent flooding and overflow
    • Door interlocks stop machine operation when any chamber door is open for operator safety
    • Heavy-duty 3-1/2 HP totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) motors on the prewash, power wash, and power rinse pumps deliver reliable performance in the wet dishroom environment
    • Capless wash arms eliminate a maintenance point and speed daily disassembly for cleaning
    • Easy-to-remove stainless steel scrap pans and baskets simplify solid-waste cleanup between shifts
    • 30" wide conveyor belt handles high-volume dish and tray throughput for large institutional operations
    • Dual rinse system delivers thorough sanitization for food-safe results shift after shift
    • Full front and rear panels enclose the machine for a clean, professional appearance and improved operator safety
    • Variable speed conveyor lets operators match belt speed to load type and volume for peak throughput and energy efficiency
    • Integrated electric booster heater delivers consistent final-rinse temperatures without a separate booster installation
    • Configurable drain to load or unload allows the machine to fit either right-to-left or left-to-right dishroom layouts
